DISPOSAL FEES
Construction & Demolition Waste: $35 per tonne
The Construction and Demolition (C & D) site at Crane Mountain Landfill is operated in accordance to the requirements established by the Department of the Environment. Only waste generated by construction and demolition projects will be accepted at the C & D site. Waste generated through industrial process will not be accepted at the C&D site.

Concrete and Brick
Untreated Wood
Siding, Ceiling Tile, Gyproc, Insulation
Glass, Metals, Durable Plastics (from demolition)
Clean Soil and Rock
Solid Roofing Materials
Asphalt Trimmings (only from roofing projects)
Not Acceptable C&D Waste
Furniture and Appliances
Pressure Treated or Creosote Wood
Light Ballasts, Fluorescent Tubes, Mercury Thermostats
Any Packaging Materials (cardboard, plastic bags, etc.)
Note: Carpets are only accepted if attached to structural material.
OTHERS
Asbestos Disposal
Friable Asbestos: Waste containing easily crumbled asbestos fibers is accepted by appointment only. To schedule, call 506-738-1212.
Non-Friable Asbestos: Materials such as siding and tiles that contain asbestos but are not easily crumbled cannot be accepted as C&D waste. These may be disposed of at a rate of $135 per tonne at our landfill cell.
Burned Material
Burned materials from building demolitions are not accepted unless prior approval is obtained from landfill management. Please contact us before disposal.
Water-Damaged or Contaminated Material
Materials damaged by flooding or contaminated with sewage, animal waste, or chemicals will not be accepted. Arrange for independent disposal of these materials.
Note: Always contact landfill management for guidance on any materials requiring special handling to ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
Zero Tolerance Contamination Policy
A 'Zero Tolerance Contamination Policy' for household waste and other banned materials has been adopted and will be strictly enforced. Loads dumped at the C & D site which are found to be unacceptable will be removed by the customer and taken to the landfill and a charge of $135.00 per tonne will be applied. Waste dumped at the C & D site by a customer that has to be removed by Landfill employees and equipment will be charged at $135.00 per tonne plus an additional $75.00 clean-up fee. Loads accepted at the C&D site must be free from any contamination. The sorting of mixed loads and/or contaminants will not be permitted at the C&D site.
