Landfill Visits
We invite you to visit Crane Mountain Landfill. We believe that everyone should understand how their waste is handled, how we maintain our commitment to the environment, and the importance of waste diversion.
Each year approximately 2,500 people visit the Glenn Carpenter Interpretive Centre, located on-site at the landfill. Videos, a scale model, as well as other innovative displays, can be found inside the Interpretive Centre.
We provide programs to classes from kindergarten to university, and to groups from youth camps to seniors at Crane Mountain Landfill.
We also offer programs off-site including a puppet show for grade two students and visits to adult and youth groups to learn about waste diversion.
To book an appointment, please call 738-1212.
