Public Notice - Village of Fundy-St. Martins Rural Plan
Public Notice
Public Notice is hereby given that the Village of Fundy-St. Martins Council intends to complete the third reading of the Village of Fundy-St. Martins Rural Plan at its September 3rd meeting by title.
New Regulation
The new regulation shall apply to the entirety of the new Entity 46 (Village of Fundy-St. Martins), created as a result of Local Governance Reform and established on January 1, 2023. The new regulation shall replace the existing Simonds Parish Planning Area Rural Plan, St. Martins Rural Plan, and St. Martins Basic Planning Statement to create one that supports the entire village.
Council intends to complete the third reading of the regulation at its September 3rd meeting by title. First and second readings occurred at the August 6th Council meeting. The new Regulation, the Fundy St. Martins Rural Plan is a by-law which sets out Council’s long-term priorities and establishes clear policies to guide decision-making within the realms of land use; housing choice and affordability; infrastructure and services; arts, culture, and heritage, and climate change; and to inform operating and capital budgeting and priorities.
The proposed plan is attached and may further be inspected by any interested person during regular office hours at the Village Community Centre: 73 Main Street, Unit 2, Fundy-St. Martins, NB, E5R 1B4.
