We’re Hiring: Human Resources Lead

We are seeking a Human Resources Lead to support and enhance the organization’s HR operations and strategic initiatives. This role is ideal for an experienced HR professional who can balance day-to-day responsibilities with long-term workforce planning.

About the Role

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Human Resources Lead will be responsible for developing and implementing HR strategies that align with FRSC’s mission. This role includes talent management, labour relations, organizational development, and health and safety oversight for FRSC’s 62 employees (including 32 unionized staff at the Crane Mountain Landfill).

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic HR initiatives.

  • Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and career development programs.

  • Manage payroll, benefits, and employment contracts.

  • Guide labour relations, contract negotiations, and workplace conflict resolution.

  • Ensure compliance with employment legislation and workplace safety requirements.

  • Lead training, succession planning, and employee engagement programs.

  • Support senior leadership with HR-related research, reports, and presentations.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field.

  • Minimum of five years of progressive HR experience.

  • CPHR designation (asset).

  • Strong knowledge of NB employment legislation and HR best practices.

  • Experience in labour relations and contract negotiations.

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

  • Bilingualism (English/French) is an asset.
