SUSTAINABLE TRANSPORTATION WEEK 2024

From September 16th to 20th, Sustainable Transportation Week marked the first regional campaign to promote healthier, eco-friendly travel options like walking, cycling, carpooling, and transit across the Fundy Region. Led by our Regional Transportation Committee, this initiative encourages small but impactful changes for personal well-being and community health.

We created customizable resources such as the Bike-Walk-Bus Starter Kit, Employer Toolkit, and Local Government Toolkit with a multi-level approach that not only provides actionable tools to make sustainable transportation accessible and achievable but recognizes everyone’s role in fostering sustainable transportation.

Through a social media challenge and daily posts, our campaign reached 29,000 views and engaged 560 community members, highlighting strong regional interest in greener living.

Sustainable Transportation Week 2024 is just the beginning; it lays the groundwork for more impactful and robust initiatives in the years to come. As this campaign grows into an annual effort, it will significantly advance our region’s vision for a sustainable future.
